Windows
On a computer running Microsoft Windows, click the Start button (at the bottom-left of the screen), type "cmd" (without the quote marks), and press the Enter key. Then type "hostname" and press the Enter key. The hostname will be displayed.
Linux
On a computer running Linux, open a command window, type "hostname", and press enter. The hostname will be displayed.
Mac
On an Apple Mac computer, choose Apple menu / System Preferences, then click Sharing. The computer’s local hostname is displayed beneath the computer’s name at the top of Sharing preferences.
